Messier 78 in Orion

This is a very nice reflection nebula in the constellation of Orion. This exposure is a total of 4 hours under poor sky conditions and very high humidity. M78 is about 1600 light years away. Telescope was mounted on a Paramount ME and the camera was my usual STL11000M CCD rig. This image was taken the night of December 9 and 10, 2009. Click on it for a higher resolution image.
